It is a root tuber from South America and one of the oldest crops in the Andes. It has half the calories of sugar and is high in minerals and antioxidants. In addition, Yacon should act like a prebiotic and ensure a healthy intestinal flora.
Coconut blossom sugar
It is made from the flowers of the coconut palm. It doesn’t taste like coconut, it tastes like caramel. Since it is not pure, it retains its nutrients. It’s not as sweet as sugar but has a similar amount of calories.
Luo Han Guo (Chinese stevia)
It consists of dried grapevine fruits and comes from southwest China. The almost calorie-free powder of monk fruit is approx. 300 times sweeter than sugar and full of antioxidants that are to protect against cancer, among other things.
